Adoption Process – To insure that our collies get the second chance they deserve, we carefully screen prospective families. We require that an application be filled out by any person interested in adopting a rescue collie. This is done to insure that our collies do not fall into another unfortunate situation. We also have a contract which outlines the families’ responsibilities, and we ask for an adoption fee. This fee goes to recover our expenses in healing these collies and to provide funds for the next one in need of aid. A good overview of what is involved in Collie Rescue can be found in the following link from the Collie Rescuers site.
Collie Rescue of Mississippi has been successful in placing Collies in loving homes all over the United States. We have placed Collies in homes in Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, Florida, Kansas, Texas, North Carolina, Virginia, New York Massachusetts and as far away as Vermont.
