Text Box: I think it is sad what humans can do to other living things in the world. It is bad enough that we pick on each other but why do we have to pick on poor defenseless animals. When I heard about Barbara Leggette and Collie Rescue of Mississippi, I became very interested in what she does. Mrs. Barbara helps poor Collies without a home. She brings them in off the streets, gets them cleaned up and nurses them back to health. If there were more people like her and her husband, Jim Leggette, the world would be a lot better off.

I help Barbara feed and walk all the Collies that come into Collie Rescue of Mississippi. I have also been there when she has adopted some of them out. Because I help her with them and she knows I will take care of them, she let me adopt one very special Collie named Bianca.

When Bianca came to Barbara and Jim she had been severely abused and neglected. She was very timid and did not like people. When I would help feed them I found that she would always run when I looked at her. The day I adopted her she was so scared she let me get right up next to her. Two weeks later we are rolling around on the floor playing together. Every night she sleeps in my bed with me. She is such a sweet baby and listens very well. When I want her to come to me all I do is say come on (in a sweet voice) and pat my leg twice (at the same time). In three weeks time I have found a nick name for her. I call her my “Sweet Little Angel”. It came to me when I was listening to my favorite song with her.

Her fur is mostly white with sable markings. A tan and black patch on her left side and a tan, black and white head. I love her very much. I suggest that you look into adopting a Collie. But take care of it or you can get in trouble.
