Text Box: You're Alive! “You’re alive again! You’re- you’re - alive!” wrote Albert Payson Terhune in “Lad: A Dog”. Several collies are alive because of Barbara Leggette and her husband, Jim, of Collie Rescue of Mississippi. I honor their efforts to accept what some discard as not worthy of living. Barbara’s story is one of courage, devotion and true love of the collie breed. She believes in giving collies a second chance at life and love. Can we do less? She never said “no” to a collie in need; we now need to say “yes” by helping her loving efforts to save every collie that crosses her path.
