Hi, it’s me again Will and I just wanted to give you all an update on my condition. Well, my new mom drove me up to that place I was telling you about early Monday morning. After getting me admitted and talking to doctors she was told that she could go home. Boy, I’m going to miss her!

Anyway, after she left, the doctors took me into a room and did an extensive examination of me and in doing so, they found wounds in my neck and chest. They then took x-rays of my neck and chest and found bullet fragments in both areas. Then the next morning they did a skull scan which took two hours, boy that was long, thank goodness I was sleeping through it.

Anyway, the reason for such a long time is that they found buck shot pellets embedded all in my skull and they wanted to make sure that they got a picture of all the pellets so when they go in to do their major surgery on me they will be able to remove as many pellets as they can. Then they did a nose scope on me and found a huge hole in my pallet area. I overheard one of the doctor’s tell my mom that this was done a while back rather than two weeks perhaps three weeks to a month ago. I got really upset when they told her that it was definitely intentional and was done at close range. Why would any one want to hurt me like this? All I do is greet people with a wagging tail.

Right now, nothing major is going to happen as they are treating me for a real nasty infection and they want to clean that up before anything else goes on. I was in ICU last night after the procedures that were done to me so that they could keep an eye on me but now I’m in a regular room with a lot more sick dogs. I feel bad for them, but I know they have a real nice mom thinking about them as my mom does me. A real nice man who has been taking care of me comes in every night to pat me and says your mom called and asked me to say good night to you so here I am.

The next step when I get rid of this infection is a skin extension, I guess so that they can sew me up better where it doesn’t look like I’m bearing my teeth at anyone. They have a lot of surgeons working on me and even a plastic surgeon. Wow, these people must really care about me. Well that’s all I know for now, just wanted to update everyone!

Thanks for thinking about me!
