Text Box: Hi! It’s me Will, I was able to come home but, don’t get to excited, I have to go back to that place in the latter part of next week. They told Mom that she could take me home because I still have a bad infection and they did not want to do anything until they get my infection under control. When I go back, I get my tissue extenders put in. Boy, that sounds gross! They wanted to wait to do that because they say if they did it sooner with the infection still not under control, the infection could eat away the sutures after being put in and they certainly did not want that to happen.

It’s nice to be home with Mom! She spends so much time with me and is so happy to see me all the time. I must be pretty special! Some nice Lady made me an afghan so that it would be soft on my nose when I put my head down to sleep. It really is comfortable and pretty too. Mom keeps telling me that there are a lot of people all over this big world sending her well wishes for me and many are even sending donations to help with my surgery!

I was behind closed doors for awhile as Mom was concerned about me and all the other dogs but now she has the door open for me so that I can look out and see all these other dogs that look like me, but of course they all have their little black noses. I miss my nose! These other Collies that look like me stare at me funny because I don’t have one. Anyway, with the door now open I can see Mom all the time and hear her when she’s on the phone. She called some lady at a radio station and said that she had someone she wanted to meet. I guess she was talking about me because I heard her say that I have to go back next week for that surgery thing. It turns out that the radio station did a broadcast of my story and they want me to come into the station as a guest on Thursday morning. Wow!!!!!!! I’m turning into a celebrity!

I’m not looking forward to going back to that place as I really want to stay here with Mom but I know she is sending me away to make me better. It really isn’t so bad there, when I prance down the hallway with my tail wagging, all the students and doctors stop and say hi Will, how are you doing today? When Mom picked me up on Thursday morning I heard her talking to Dr. Lathan who said “most doctors and students will look at the pets as they walk down the hall and nod but with me, they all have to stop and say Hi and pat me and ask how I’m doing” I must be pretty special there too!

BTW, that really nice lady that made me an afghan also made another one with a Sable Collie head on it. It really is beautiful and looks like she has a lot of talent and put a lot of time into it. She donated it to Mom to sell to help benefit me for my upcoming surgeries. Mom will be putting it up on eBay for auction either tonight or tomorrow. If you have the time, please stop by and take a look at it, it really is beautiful.

Okay, I have to go now as Mom is getting ready to cook daddy his dinner. Bye for now!

P.S. The song Mom chose for my story “I Believe in Love” by Elton John is because she says after everything I have gone through I still believe in love!!!!!! Boy, she really is creative don’t you think?
